  Is There a Gynecomastia Cure?

Since Gynecomastia is not actually a disease, there isn't technically a gynecomastia cure. There are however, ways to solve or reduce the problem.

First let's look at what gynecomastia is: It's a condition where breasts appear enlarged, swollen and tender in men. This is also referred to as man boobs, and it can even lead to the production of milk from a man's breast nipple.

Gynecomastia sometimes happens in just one breast, but it happens more often on both sides at once. The swollen area of the man's chest is about one and a half inches in size, and is usually located right under his nipple. In fact, some guys refer to gynecomastia as having "puffy nipples".

There is no cure for gynecomastia because this is a fairly normal condition which happens most often to teenage boys and elderly men, because their hormones are out of balance. Sometimes gynecomastia can be caused by certain medications or drugs though, so removing those problem causing agents could be considered as a "cure".

Gynecomastia tends to cure itself though, within one to three years in most adolescent boys. Another way to cure this condition though, is to simply elect to have cosmetic surgery. When you choose to cure gynecomastia with cosmetic surgery, the plastic surgeon will perform a simple procedure which involves removing the extra fat and tissue between your chest muscles and nipple. This will create a smoother, more manly looking chest area in a fairly short period of time.

Another type of gynecomastia though, is technically false gynecomastia which is caused by weight gain and obesity. This version of gynecomastia can also be cured with plastic surgery, and it can be cured by simply losing body fat too.

Losing body fat is not always simple, quick or easy of course. It takes some dedication, time, and effort to start seeing noticeable results. You can't cure gynecomastia just by exercising the muscles in your chest area though, in fact, you could make the problems more noticeable if you build those muscles up a lot before you've actually taken care of the body fat issues.

Spot reducing any area of your body just isn't possible to do. When you have fat deposits, you must burn fat from your entire body in order to reduce the fat in any one given area. So by all means, doing strength training and muscle building exercises will help to cure gynecomastia problems, but be sure to strengthen and build all muscles on your body, not just some. Toning and building your muscles will help your body burn more fat and calories even when you're resting, and this will in turn help with curing your gynecomastia problems.

Other types of exercises that are excellent for burning fat involve cardio. Interval training is a great choice too, because it tends to have about thirty seconds of intense exercise, followed by two or three minutes of moderate and low exercise. This back and forth approach to exercising works really well in helping you to stimulate your metabolism, burn extra calories, and start burning the extra fat from your body.

And if your gynecomastia problems are caused by having too much body fat, burning it off is sure to be the cure you're looking for.
